Betting Terms & Glossary
Simple explanations of common betting and casino terms for new players.
RTP (Return to Player)
The percentage of total bets a game returns to players over the long run. For example, 96% RTP means an average return of 96 taka for every 100 taka wagered.
House Edge
The mathematical advantage held by the casino. It is the flip side of RTP — the lower the house edge, the more favorable the game is for the player.
Wagering Requirement
The number of times you must wager a bonus before withdrawing it. 10tk's welcome bonus has a wagering requirement of just 15x — meaning you need to place ৳15,000 in bets for a ৳1,000 bonus.
Volatility
The difference in the frequency and size of wins in a slot game. High volatility means bigger but less frequent wins; low volatility means smaller but more frequent wins.
Free Spin
The opportunity to spin a slot game at no cost — usually given as a bonus or triggered within the game by scatter symbols.
Bankroll
The total amount of money set aside for playing. Smart bankroll management is key to playing longer and avoiding excessive losses.
Odds
A way of expressing the probability of an outcome. Decimal odds of 1.85 means a potential total return of 185 taka on a 100 taka bet.
Live Bet
The ability to place bets in real time while a match is in progress. Odds change every moment, making it a special opportunity for bettors with strong observation skills.
Cashout
The option to take a set amount of winnings before a bet fully concludes. This also applies to crash games like Aviator.
Parlay / Accumulator
Combining multiple bets into a single bet. You win only if all selections are correct — higher risk but also a higher multiplier.
Spread
A set points or goals difference between two competitors that levels the playing field in betting. It plays a central role in handicap betting.
Stake
The total amount of money placed on a single bet. Setting the right stake is one of the core principles of responsible gaming.
